The warp and weft wires of Cross Weave Wire Cloths are alternately intertwined two below and two above. In this weave the wires form different 90° angles due to uncompensated tensions.
This weave is generally used for very fine fabrics, over number 220, or when it is necessary to use wires with a larger diameter than the mesh size.
